Buzzing around/near starter

'91 Q45 Standard

I have a weird buzzing noise coming from around the starter.

Noise is there only when the ignition is turned to "ON", prior to start up.

Checked the wiring around & on the starter, no shorts.

Everything works fine, nothing abnormal, except for this bloody buzzing.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing this noise?(Or perhaps if its normal, and I just never noticed it before?)

Yeah i have the same thing too, it was on my old Q, on a friends (Sean's) 94, and on a couple 90-93s ive seen.....

IMO its in the transmission and normal, unless its really loud... This is very subtle, and actually goes away if you move the throttle.

Its not that loud, just small oddball noises bug the hell out of me.

It does goes go away when I depress the accelerator.

What is causing the buzzing inside the transmission?

And what if it does get louder?

(It hasn't, but just out of curiosity)
