im gonna buy one of these hks turbos it appears to bolt in with little modification besides some exhaust and charge pipes. i dont want to buy injectors or anything big; i just want a mild upgrade. what specs should i get as far as a/r and such? the site say that the turbo listed in the title can make around 320 hp which is right in line with my performance goals; assuming it is refering to whp. like i said before what specs should i order from them? thanks all!!

i would say it is referring to crank hp, and 320 is like maxed out, so subtract the drivetrain loss, and its really safely only good for prolly 280whp.. idk if you would like it.. i wouldnt buy it imo, i would up my goals.

If you are going to spend that much money on a turbo just get a cheaper garret gt3076R w/ .63 A/R for a quick spool and 500hp potential. Use the internal gate option so you dont have to spend extra money on an external wastegate. Spend the rest of your money on custom fabbing an Oxygen sensor housing and oil and coolant lines. Should be about the same with a LOT more potential.

You could find some cheap DSM bluetop(eclipse, talon, laser) injectors (450cc) or rb26dett (444cc) ones with a 10 dollar resistor box.

I spent less than 600 dollars on my turbo upgrade and it was relatively simple.

efing msrp at $2200.00~!! just stupid to dish out that much money for that size turbo; get yourself an GT35R; alot cheaper. even get a stage 3 T3 is 1/4 the price. these type of decision pisses me off all the time.

I could sell you a whole turbo upgrade kit (Bolt in) for probably less than that turbo alone.

I run a GT3076R with an internal wastegate, stock modified exh manifold, Custom 02 housing and downpipe that clears the steering shaft. I could also sell you 550cc injectors, all oil and coolant lines AND a PowerFC IGN and INJ map all tuned and ready to go. Right now it's making 390 hp at the wheels.

I'm looking to upgrade to the 550hp mark so I'm replacing it all, so if you want to make a deal, let me know.

they offer these turbos in a bunch of different sizes up to an hks gt35 version capable of 480hp, im sure you guys have seen them before. i wanted to get one that was a little bigger then the stock turbo but so big as to need new bigger injectors. the main selling point is the fact that they basically bolt in place of the stock turbo. does anyone know the spec (trim, .a/r) that i should look for to make 325whp. it would be an hks gt2530 (its t3 flanged) but i dont know what trim and a/r to look for

the reason i dont want to get a bigger turbo is because im afraid of how long the engine will last with some much added hp and over 70000 miles on it. these hks gtpro turbos are garrett and look like they are bolt on replacements for the stocker. im happy with the performance already. its my daily driver i just want basically a NEW oem replacement but i cant find one anywhere and it seems exspensive to rebuild the oem turbo if you can get it done. i guess that i will just do what everyone is telling me to do and get the gt3076r, cdor email me [email protected] im interested to know how long you have had it.
