Yes, those are the one's. Keep in mind the outer side is what needs to be fit up.Also under the light needs trim. You can buy the under light trim from bmw for $40 or so primed. It clips right to your lights. Those come prewired which is kinda nice. Any more questions just ask. I am currently doing mine with HID's.Lots of work and patience!

What does the trim do? Is it just a seal?

No, it is not a seal. It takes up space in between the bumper and the light. The BMW uses the same peice. I fitted the light up with the trim piece in and it fits good. Like I said the outer lens is the problem. Q45Caliber had them and they looked ok. Now that I have seen them I think I can make them look very factory! If you get them I can give you the bmw part #'s for the trim piece.I will post pics when done. If they go as expected I will do a write-up.

Do these units provide any better illumination?

These look like they are HID or at least projectors. Are HID versions available or do you have to convert?

Well in my case, my lights are going dim even with replacement bulbs so I had to have new assembly's...

I do not believe they are HID but they can be easily converted, which I think superuber is doing to his.

Looks that way. If theres enough interest I'll see if I can get several brackets made... still have to cut the sides yourself though.

I really think you would need a different head light assembly because it really is a completely different car in the front.

Call BMW. I bet they are close to $600 a piece. As far as looking bad, you are the first person I have heard say that. They look like any other after market halo lights.

well there are some on now that look better than BMWs now, the ones with the dot pattern on the side and cheap chrome where all that was up before, the ones with the black surrond not only look better but are cheaper as well it seams.

The piece I am talking about seems too small. It is oe bmw and fits the lights, but it is not thick enough to lift the light up to where I need it. I am using rubber molding instead (looks good). I can get you that number if you want to try them but I am not going to use them. The job is going well. I should have it done in a week or two. I am waiting for my HID H1 bulbs. Also the halo lights could be brighter. I am going with a led buld to brighten it up. I'll keep you posted. The fender is tricky. I studied Q45Calibers pics and he DID have the fenders bondoed. I think it will look good but I'm still in the final stages. I have them sitting in and I must say the look is incredible! Let me know if you want the numbers.

Don't worry I will have pics. I'm excited. This project has been hard. I want it to look good. I can't tell you how many hours I have into it! I am determined! I want it to look factory but without body work it's hard. Although they do fit so close. One thing for sure these lights off ebay for $200 or so are not the best quality, but functional.

Evie just called me. A Suburban was passing her and kicked up something, and it took out the passenger light, gouged the bumper, and bent the hood on Lola.

Maybe I will take this time to do the angel eyes mod on her...
