Buying Smart Key on ebay???

Just talked to the Infiniti Dealer about buying another smart key for my 2008 m35. Expensive!!!ebay has them for a lot less. Tech Rep at Infiniti Dealer said they'd still program it.

Any thoughts/advice about buying a smart key on ebay (problems, etc.)?

It should be OK - as long as they are not defect, which will be protected by ebay policy. Make sure to read the description carefully and to avoid any problem, just like purchase it from any other resources.

I bought a perfect new fob w/blank key for about $45 on E-Bay. Make sure it has the same code numbers inside as your original. Both your original and the new one will need to be reset. I got that done @ a Nissan dealer for $40.

I bought one off E-bay two months ago and it works fine. Just make sure the serial numbers match the one you have. I just paid the dealer to cut and program.
