Buying S14 240sx w/ SR20DET

Heyy, so im about 3 days away from when the guy is avalible for me to go buy the S14. Me and my mechanic friend went to check it out. Its a Redtop out of a s13 with a sidemount intercooler (never seen before) but ran strong and everything on the car seemed to perform in good working order except for jdm speedometer which he is fixing atm.

So my main question is, the car is smogged untill a little later next year. I live in SoCal so the laws are insane, is this thing going to be neer impossible to smog? Is paying someone off a viable option because I have people, but I dont want it to come down to the wire and be a NO-GO.

At any rate the price for the car I moved him down to 4500 bucks, 140k on the car and 60 on the SR20DET. Car fax checked out just as he said, Only bad part about the car is that its raddle can white =[

Oh. I know which car you're buying. The side mount is stock.

As for smog, there are a tons of people who will smog it.

You just need to know who to talk to/ask.

Don't expect someone to tell you just because you're asking though.

Because to most people you're just a kid trying to get into the game. And if they hook you up and you mess around, you could send the smog guy to jail.

That car was also posted on zilvia I believe.

It's a cool price for what you get.

Stock side mount is fine for the stock turbo.

But you should be worried about who will smog it.

It would be dumb to have a car and not be able to drive it.

Also remember that if you are caught with that engine you will have to take it to the state smog station.

dude...you're getting a s14 with an sr for 4500...i wouldnt be complaining. just pay a grand to have someone paint it. then you have a freshly painted s14 any color you f'n wanted for 5500...
