If you are wanting to buy a T3 Flanged manifold and the lines for the setup and a turbo. I hope that doesnt include all $500 dollars.

Garret T3/T04E 50 Trim .63 A/R: $619

Garret T3/T04E 50 Trim .48 A/R: $619

I would reccomend one of those and if you only have strictly 500 I'd save, if youre wanting to buy a T3 setup on $500 dollars. Id reccomend buying a used T25/T28 Turbo rather than cheaping out a T3 setup.

See if you can find a used low milage S15 turbo, generally go for around 500

If you only have 500 then you dont have enough. If you are replacing the turbo then to make it much easier on your self you would be smart to get new ss lines. You can still reuse the old hardlines but you will need to bend them to fit the new turbo. In the case with the s15 you will need a s15 oil return tube. You could modify the one on the s13 but IMO its a poor place to go cheap and starve the turbo of oil and kill your new turbo for a 25 dollar part. Then you will need new piping, or cut your old piping to fit the new turbo. So unless you find 1 hell of a deal i dont think you are going to have enough cash.

Also what other mods do you have? FMIC? Boost controler? Exhaust? injectors??

All in all i'll agree with Onizuka get a s15 turbo when you have some more cash to play with.

I'd be more worried about the engine itself being oil starved if the turbo oil return pops off. When I put an s15 turbo on my sr I just slotted the bolt holes on the oil return fitting and used some new reinforced rubber tubing back to the block. Never had any leaking or problems with 14,000+ miles of driving/racing on that setup.

But yeah, there is still some modification in addition that needs to be done with the S15 turbo, Im sure there is alot of threads that have this all detailed.
