Ok, im buying an automatic SR tomorrow from a shop. I assume I can do a compression check on it while its on the pallet. Is there anything I need to do/caution i need to take as far as the motor moving, etc. Also will the transmission be a problem at all?

Lastly will the motor give me a good reading if its been sitting for a while? Need info ASAP. Thanks!

Do not dent your oil pan. Have seen a couple of problems caused by that. You may have good luck searching or just asking a shop if you are in a hurry.

If the motor is out, you can still do a leakdown I think. Leakdowns tell you where, if there is a problem.
