Iv'e been looking alot into G35's lately and one custom G35 really caught my eye. I was thinking would it be smart to buy a 04-06 G35 for around 6k . Probably plan on getting one with the body all messed up since i plan on changing the whole body kit to the custom Veilside body Kit and also with very high miles since I plan on changing the engine and transmission. Also going to add pain job and probably fix little things here and there. The Body Kit is around 4k (not sure yet) and the engine and transmission should be around 2k for both. So basically i would have a salvaged Infiniti G35 with a 80k Engine swap and transmission. Is this a good move or not? I would appreciate everyone's opinions thanks.

P.S. If anyone has gotten a Custom Veilside Body Kit On their car i would also apprecite any advice or tips

Sounds like a plan of attack. I would recommend you get the 05-06 G35s...they have less issues, and since you're changing the powertrain, the oil consumption problem won't be a concern.

Thanks!

The only other comment I have is to be careful with a salvaged vehicle. It is very difficult to sell them later...I had a 97 Firebird Formula that had 150 miles on it when I bought it. Original owner hit a deer then a snowbank on the way home from the dealership! over 5k in repairs...salvaged. It was the only way I could afford a car like that when I was an E-4 in the AF. Sold it to my father who still has it in his garage.

Co-worker was looking at a salvaged titled vehicle for his son. His insurance company would not insure it. SO, like Joe said, would be tuff to sell!!
