I am thinking of buying my first 240sx and found a 1990 model imported from japan it seems like a nice car but im wondering if the price is way to much for this.
Also I am interested to find out how does owning an import work. Is it easy to get work done on them can I take them to the Nissan dealership. Is buying parts easy and what common problems do you find with owning an import or a RHD. the car is selling for 9950 with 105437miles it is a manual and it looks like some mods have been done aftermarket exhaust momo steering wheel and recaro seats i cant tell all what has been done to the engine but it has been turboed. All help is greatly appreciated.

9950 seems like a metric s*** ton of money for an S13.

I'd pass on the RHD and just get a USDM edition and pocket 8 grand.

2nd that ^

A running S13 for $2-3k, give or take, sounds about right. Get on the CL and start shopping. Be patient. Have cash ready.

I had a couple of 1990 240SX's, have a 1991 now. I had to replace engine in one and transmission in the other. I was told at the time that Nissan had lubrication problems that year, but fixed them for 91. The one I had the engine replaced in, also with a used 90 engine, went out again. I can't remember at how many miles, but it was over 100,000 at the time I owned them. Whatever, started knocking super bad in the engine. I sold it to a guy who was going to replace it again. When he got it, I followed him to his house in case it broke down. As we were going down the highway it was screaming, I couldn't believe how loud it was, but never broke. When we got there, we just sat there and laughed. I have been buying Nissan ever since.
