hey.. i'm thinking about getting this '92 240sx.. 114,000 miles.. $2,500 (i live in idaho and this is 2 hours away and the closest i've found..) .. it burns oil and looks like it was hit from the front by something.. painted over spots and stuff replaced in the engine.. but uhm.. the owner was a smoker so it smells really bad inside.. i'm planning on redoing the interior during the summer (carpet, reupholster seats, etc).. but i was wondering, would febreze take care of the smell? and do you think i could get it out of the vents, etc? it smells like the person was a heavy smoker (this is at a dealership btw).. if i cant get rid of the smell, i most likely wont get the car. thx for any help.

Febrezze would do it, and maybe clean the seats real good with some carpet cleaner. And the headliner, smoke rises!! And also put some good smelling strong air freshners!!! Strawberry will defiently get the smell out ;)

I'd pass on the car because the burning oil issue. That's not exactly a good sign.

Remove your rear seats and replace them with a sub enclosure.Replace the front seats with Sparco's, Recaro's, or Brides.

Problem solved :D

Hey Dawhiz-

Where in Idaho are you? Have you tried autotrader.com to find your car? I found mine over in Seattle for $1500. I just had to keep checking for about a month and it finally turned up. Anyway wherever you are you shouldn't be too far from either Salt Lake, Seattle, or Portland and i have seen plenty turn up in those places.

Matt
