Hi everyone,

I am considering purchasing an R32 GTR from Canada and importing it into the US. I have no clue as to how that works out and would appreciate some feedback. I'd also like to find out about maintenance and typical issues associated with owning an R32 (I'm looking into cars with no more than 40-45K miles on the odometer).
This is a totally new venture, so you could say I'm something of a noob:)

It is not legal until the car is over 25 years old. In Canada they can import cars 15 years old, exempt from importation standards. Here in the US its 25 years. So look for a 1989, and you can import it in 2014 legally. Other than that there are lots of illegally imported and registered cars here, some legally imported ones, but honestly the best bet is wait until 25 years.
