buying an extended Security+Plus service plan on a used car.

we are looking to buy a used Rogue from a dealer that is not a Nissan dealer... if we wanted to can we still buy an extended plan from Nissan?

not the 3yr/36k ... this rogue has just over 36k miles... but it still does have the 5yr/60k

i only wonder if extending the manufacturers warranty is a cheaper cost than buying the SAAB dealerships warranty plan...
