Hello,

I'm considering buying a 2007 Versa S that was in accident from a dude with a body shop.

The car looks great. The dude from the body shop did an excellent job replacing the damage parts and it seems to have been mostly body damage.

It rides well too. I drove it around his place and the only beef I had is the steering wheel making an ELECTRONIC-type noise when I turned. Is that normal?

The has appx 30K miles on it and should still be under Nissan warranty and I called my local dealer to confirm that. The carfax came out 98% clean minus the accident (of course). He's asking $7500 for it and that's mainly why I'm so interested. I'm still hesitant to purchase because I don't like the fact that it was in an accident and that I'm buying from a dude at a body shop... Don't get me wrong, I'm just really picky. It's not that he seems shady or anything. I'm just particular about my things. Let me know what you guys think?

Sounds good, mileage is pretty low for an '07. Don't know about that noice though.

Is it auto or manual?

It's automatic. I read that the Versa's power steering and/or transmission is electronically controlled. Perhaps that's what I'm hearing.

I might take it into Nissan to ensure that there was no suspension/engine damage.

As I'm updated. Tomorrow I'm heading over to Nissan because I just noticed this baby: http://www.pomoconissan.com/used-invent ... 92#Details

It doesn't have powerdoors, etc so I'm going to make sure that it's not the base. I prefer to have the 1.8 engine so I can power mod it after the warranty expires.
