buying a used 240 in georgia

i am wondering what will be involved when i buy and re-register a 240sx in GA. i was hoping that the person i bought it from could get it smogged then i could buy it. could someone tell me the process involved like registering it, getting the tag, smogging it, and what order i do it in

when you buy, you dont need a temp. tag, you have to get it smoged, registered, and get a tag. thats pretty much it.

im in alpharetta, is there anyway i can get the buyer to smog it then just buy it off him or do i have to do it once i re-register even if the seller did it a week ago

go through MARTA, then to the courthouse, that's how it should work.

i think you have to redo it when you re register, im not 100% sure though, you should call the DOT in your area to find out for sure
