Buying a used '08 Altima Coupe

I've been in love with the looks of the Altima coupe for some time, and I'm finally about to make it happen.

Any advice on particular things to look for when I'm searching for my new baby?

I really have my heart set on the 3.5 with a manual, loaded (in black preferably). Turns out, there just aren't that many available. The first one I really considered was from a local shady dealership (near Atlanta). The car was a clear flood 'survivor'. The carfax was clean and it looked great-- until I got it on the lift and got to see the mud caked lower half of the motor and a completely rust covered exhaust. I know scummy dealers (or acts of god for that matter) can happen to any car, but it left me feeling woefully unprepared in regards to what to watch out for-- and specifically what issues these early coupes are prone to.

I can't wait to join the ranks here- but only with the right car!

Just keep an eye out for all the typical issues related to buying a used car. The coupe has an above average reliability record. If you want more driving enjoyment....try finding the 6spd V6 model.
