He said it was on a "****ty autozone" tester.

This is the one I was planning on buying, but I requested a compression test first. Thoughts?

well the results are pretty even....from the looks of it the cylinders are prob dry with no oil in them....put four or five drops in each cylinder and the compression will jump up to where it should be.

Yeah, I replied back to him asking if the engine was warm + WOT cranks...awaiting a reply now.

Well, the guy said the engine "had cooled a little bit" but the test was done at WOT...

The numbers are not "high" or even close to FSM spec, but they are even and that is what matters most in a compression test. Highly unlikely that all of the rings are evenly fried unless the engine has like 200,000 miles on it.

WOT Cranks???While doing a compression test????This guy doesn't know what he's doing or he's trying to bs you.

You don't do a compression test @ WOT.You put the tester in the hole and crank with the key. The Throttle has no play in a compression test.

I personally would stay away from it.Your in ATL go find one of the importers there.I think Jarco is there and maybe JHot not sure though.Check with our sponsors maybe there in your area. Rent a uhaul or buy a buddy with a truck lunch on a 6 pack and go get that beyotch.

Also if a deal is too good to be true... I just might be.

huh? You're supposed to have the throttle completely open to get the highest possible compression.

also a little known fact, you should remove ALL the spark plugs too. if you dont, you could get a false reading because of between cylinder headgasket failures.

Also you want the motor turning over as FAST as possible, so less load = quicker turning.

when i compression test i remove all my plugs. Plug a batt charger onto the battery to keep the RPMs as high as possible while cranking, hold gas pedal to the floor. then crank till the needle stops moving. should give u the best results
