Alright, so i'm currently in the process of buying a manual transmissions from a shop.
The dude knows that it's a transmission for the 240sx's from 91-94.
Since that's the case, it obviously will fit a s13 and the ka24de since that was the year of its making.
I feel like buying the transmission from this company is good, but they're not knowledgable on that subject, so I dont know.

Tell me what you guys would do or if I should buy it.

I wouldn't buy it as-is. If it's guaranteed then go for it.

I thought 96-98 OBDII S14's had a crank position sensor in the bell housing?

Well I've called the shop and the rep said that he has ran it in a 240sx and it's perfectly fine. So papasmurf, should I just get it? Correct me if I'm wrong but the difference between an sr trans and a ka trans is the bell housing? I doubt that this trans goes to an sr since emissions are a b**** in arizona. He's asking $350 for it. I get what I pay for so hopefully I'm paying well as a highschooler!

$350 sounds about right for a shop not familiar with the 240 community selling a transmission with a guarantee. Remember this isn't a couple of enthusiasts on the classifieds. Although you also have to think, with the amount of 5 speed swaps being done and the supply of fresh 5 speeds not getting any greater, the prices are bound to go up.

Agreed ^^ Well the seller from the shop just told me it's from a 91 ka after saying he doesnt know what engine it came from.
Im kind of taking the "you get what you pay for" saying in hand, but if it's overpriced, im over it. It's just a trans with no clutch. I wouldnt even bother with it anymore, honestly.

Anybody got a link for a manual trans for a good reasonable s13 ka24de? It'll help on my research if so!
