Buying a “JDM” VG30DETT but want to make sure with the code

Hi so I’m new to this forum.
I’m looking to buy a JDM VG30DETT motor for my z32 NA but I wanted to confirm that it is indeed a JDM.
How can I look up this information with the code?

What code are you referring to? The VIN which the engine came from? If so JDM VIN numbers are shorter unlike the North American 17 digits.
Easy way to tell is to look at the location of the oil pressure sending unit. JDM will be on the left side, USDM are on the right near the oil filter.

If you are specifically looking for a JDM you NEED to do more research. JDM is not better but in fact WORSE than USDM due to traceability. read through the "JDM engines" thread.
