buying a hatch have sone questions

Ok so I was putting a ka in my mustang but life comes around and kicks your a** sometimes so I'm taking the engine out of the mustang since I need a car because my supra blew its hg again! and I'm buying a 1990 hatch this Thursday. The ka I have is out of a 95 and I have the engine harness still fine and oem. What will I need to do to put it in the hatch? Ik it will bolt in so I'm talking about wiring.

No it ran lol I just refuse to drive it in the winter since I took my time and my blood sweat and tears painting the b**** and i ripped the heater and crap out cause I didn't want it I've got videos on YouTube and in my build thread of it running

ok so back on topic will the 95 engine harness plug into the factory chassis harness or will I have to mod the harness

95 Is OBD1 so maybe, not an S14 guy...yet. Free bump though.

Nope.

Need a '91-'94 harness for the DOHC engine into the S13 (Will have to splice the DOHC harness with the SOHC harness at the dash connection). SOHC tach won't work on the DOHC engine either. Will need transmission sensor for S13, S13 DOHC intake mani swapped onto the S14 engine, and S13 Distributor swapped on the S14 engine.

Should be able to search for S14 KA24DE engine into '89-'90 S13. Should be a few articles around.

Plugs will be different and will need to be swapped, but I have no idea as to what plugs will need to be swapped other than the dash plug.

I have a complete s14 body harness so I think ill just swap it out since I desperatly need the car to run nd make it a legit swap later down the line

You'll have to swap most of the plugs and probably have to reroute, extend and/or shorten a good bit of the harness but it will work.(just be a pain in the a**)
