Hi, I am new to the forum and hopefully I'll be one of the proud owners for the QX4 soon.
I have checked one out today with about 143k miles, everything seems ok, minor issues such as the antenna doesn't go down(probably a dead motor?), cassette doesn't work, and the A/C probably needs a recharge.
The only thing that got my attention was that the driver side of the qx4 is sitting higher than the right side. I've looked up the web and got this:http://consumerguideauto.howst...2.htm
Air springs: The vehicle may sit crooked because the left front spring compresses more than the right requiring a countermeasure spring. (1997-98)
I checked the qx4 and only saw the coil springs? If there is air springs, how should i fix the problem?
If there are just coil springs, do I simply replace the springs or/and shocks to fix this problem?
How costly to actually fix it? costly enough to walk away from this QX4? The owner said the shocks/springs have not been replaced.
Thanks guys/girls in advance!!
