ok so i have a 300zx and am looking at getting a 240 before i move down to orlando in august. I found two on craigslist, an s14 with an rb20 swap and an s13 and was just wondering what you guys thought of them.

heres the s14, ive always loved this body style but it needs a few things, as you'll see, like an alignment and power steering, and a/c put back on. http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/1162400302.html

heres the s13, it's pretty clean but tell me what you think http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/1151234687.html

just trying to get some opinions on which one looked like the better deal

Get a clean shell and build it from ground up!Will be more fun, unless you've no time for that. Then I'd go with the s13. That's my opinion, you should really look over them both, test drive them if you can aaand what I like to do.. is just.. look at the beautification of the car, ask yourself if it's you.

Im a fan of the s13 but like he said ^^ drive them both and see what appeals more to you if either of them do at all.

myself, i dont like buying a car then have to sift thru some other a-holes mods/wiring. the guy that installed it could of been a complete idiot, you never know.i agree with Osirux, get a clean shell or a stock runner and start on it yourself. give the car a good once over. inspect everything. if the owner doesn't want to let you inspect/check something out, walk on em.if you check it out and are still unsure, most shops have a good price for a "used car inspection" they'll put it up on a rack, check everything, and tell you what it needs and what is wrong with it. they dont care either way so they wont be bias and wont have a reason to hide/lie to you.

yeah i have a nissan specialist mechanic here that weve been going to since my dad owned an 88 maxima and he looked over my z before we bought it so i was definitely going to have him look these cars over. i would love to find a shell and start from scratch, but it's hard to do that when your trying to save most of your money for school , thats when i found these.

he is exactly right but with a choice like this one it all comes down to preference if both car are in the same shape. The s14 which I would be partial too (cuz I own one) seems like it would be a more comfy dd. And the s13 seems like a track car. So you gotta think about what you want.

And that blue on the s14 is horrid

like some others have said buy a clean car that isnt really modded and go up from there. if you didnt build it its not really yours.
