Buying a 2010 EX35. What's your thoughts?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi guys

I'm purchasing a fully loaded 2010 EX35 in Black Obsidian with stone interior and maple accents with Premium package, Navigation Package, and Technology Package with illuminated kick plates.

I have a few questions though. The MSRP of this is $44,000. Is it possible to get it below the price even though it's a new car? This is my first time buying a new car cause I always buy used. I heard of something called getting below invoice but I don't know what that means. I'm financing, not leasing too.

Second question is I told my wife how good and reliable the EX35 is but I'm a little worried that if I buy it that it will have the problems you guys of been having, so I don't want it to look like I told a lie to my wife. Does it have the mirror whistle noise problem with the 2010 models? Do 2010 models have any problems at all? I'm just a little worried and paronoid now cause I currently own a Nissan Armada and have had nothing but constant problems with it since last year. I spent about $10,000 in repairs on it from everything to a VVT solenoid valve to rusted engine computers. Everything was just a mess with that car.

I feel as though if I'm buying a new car such as an EX35, it shouldn't be giving me any problems within the first few months of ownership ya know?

Thanks guys!

go to truecar.com, find out the true price, which is much lower than the invoice. Do not give the dealer more than 1k over the TRUE price. Also they can give you 3.9% for 72 mo. My dealer used Wachovia. Such was my deal. Note, the LUXURY car comes with a naked butt: no cargo cover, no tinted windows (in contrast to rx350, for example, which has both). So everybody will have a chance to find out what's in the back. I called the corporate about that, they agreed with their blooper, but refused to correct it for me. Be ready to buy a cargo cover or to pay for tinting. It's been a fabulous car so far. I love it despite minor flaws. However, be also ready to buy Weathertech floor mats since the factory once are just pathetic as well as the high beam bulbs.
