Hi everything, I am new here, I am trying to buy a 1998 Nissan Maxima SE, with close to 250k milleges on it. Any tips for me while test driving? Thanks

IMHO find something else. That is very high mileage

Unless the previous owner has been meticulous with it's upkeep and maintenance (Service Record required), the engine and/or transmission can go kaput anytime. The suspension and exhaust systems are probably marginal or failing.

Also check for rust, especially on the radiator support.

If the car was in CA or a desert state it would probably be in better shape than
one from OH or up north (where roads are salted). Like the others say, that is a
lot of miles so get it cheap because there will be repairs/overhauls!
