Hi everyone! I am new here so figured I'd get that out of the way. I am in the process of buying a 1997 Nissan 240SX SE, factory five speed, with a few bent valves, no holes in the pistons thank god, and it has some body damage to the driver front fender and the clear corner. My question is I priced out getting the fender fixed, repainted, and re fitted, compared that to a brand new fender and painting and fitting, and then compared that to a set of carbon fiber fenders, not needing paint, so which one should I do?. The prices are all within $75 of each other, the carbon fenders I am looking at are from Ground Dynamics, are they a reputable company and also does anyone have first hand knowledge of how the weave looks and if the clear coat is a quality, UV protected finish? I am buying the car for $600, no joke, because it's from an old country boy who doesn't know what he has. I previously had a 1995 240, non-se, with a S15 conversion and a cammed ka, so I am not new to 240s and any work on them won't be brain surgery for me. Other than those questions I think I'm done now, lol, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, and it's great to be a part of this forum, C yA.
