Hi everyone! I am new here so figured I'd get that out of the way. I am in the process of buying a 1997 Nissan 240SX SE, factory five speed, with a few bent valves, no holes in the pistons thank god, and it has some body damage to the driver front fender and the clear corner. My question is I priced out getting the fender fixed, repainted, and re fitted, compared that to a brand new fender and painting and fitting, and then compared that to a set of carbon fiber fenders, not needing paint, so which one should I do?. The prices are all within $75 of each other, the carbon fenders I am looking at are from Ground Dynamics, are they a reputable company and also does anyone have first hand knowledge of how the weave looks and if the clear coat is a quality, UV protected finish? I am buying the car for $600, no joke, because it's from an old country boy who doesn't know what he has. I previously had a 1995 240, non-se, with a S15 conversion and a cammed ka, so I am not new to 240s and any work on them won't be brain surgery for me. Other than those questions I think I'm done now, lol, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, and it's great to be a part of this forum, C yA.

Welcome to the club.

CF front end will draw a butt load of attention.

That is the only thing i would be worried about.

Anything carbon fiber on a stock car looks like poop. If you do go that route, get them painted definitely.

There's really no use AT ALL for something like that.

Thanks! You guys are fast on here. I was afraid that having an all stock car with carbon fenders would look dumb and out of place. I think I'll just get the clear corner fixed and rock it how it is, it's not rubbing the tire or anything, looks like the previous owner bumped a car just right or something and pushed the fender in a little. I also came up with another question, I promise they'll stop eventually lol, does anyone know where to get either barely used or brand new interior panels? I am talking about the vent/climate control surround, shifter surround, door window controls, anything like that? I looked on ebay, naturally, but most of them are in the same condition as mine, sun baked faded gray awesomeness lol. Thanks again guys.

THANKS FRANK! I had looked for a site like courtesy nissan and couldn't find one, you just made my day man! I have OCD about interiors, to the point where if the color of the light on a button doesn't match I'll tear everything apart just to replace the led/bulb. The car I am buying only need those few plastic pieces and it'll be almost brand new. Thanks again for all your help everybody!
