Hello,

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I live in Fort Worth, TX and am in the process of buying a 2009 Murano SL.

The MSRP is $38220 and when I priced it via Edmunds the invoice price is $34672. The "What Others Have Paid" shows $35260.

I emailed the dealer and offered $34400. They agreed but said that was with a $1500 rebate applied. I planned to use the 36month 0% financing but the dealer said I could not do both. I was not aware of any rebate and the price I offered was not counting any rebate.

I was thinking they would take my $34400 offer and counter with something like $35000 and we could seal the deal.

What are your thoughts on my version of the deal and what do you think I should shoot for price wise?

I would appreciate any and all help you can provide.

Thank You,Bob

calculate in the dealer holdback and that should get you some more off. im in dallas and have been working with dealers all over dfw. one in particular is giving us a better deal, although i think we're going out of the city to buy eventually, as houston, austin, and even oklahoma have better prices. which dealer are you working with in FW?

Anytime I've ever bought a new vehicle where there was a Manufacturer rebate and 0% financing (or similar) deal, the option was to choose between them...one or the other. Can't get them both. I think this is the norm.

Well I made a better deal than I expected. I got an SL that MSRP was $38220 for $34177. It had tinted windows and wheels locks added at the dealership but they did not charge me for them.

I also bought the 72 mo/75 K Mi Security Gold Preferred extended warranty with $0 deductable for $1783. They also gave me 1 year of free oil changes to let me test out the maintenance plan.

I dealt with Bankston Nissan in Irving, specifically Gary Brown and Peter Trambly. I have to say they both were awesome and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They did not hassle me one tiny bit and bent over backwards to make sure my wife and I were very happy. I have bought many new cars in my life and this is definitely the best experience yet.
