I did a post on here a few days ago asking if I should buy my friends 240sx but I really didnt give you enough info well here ya go. Its a 1991 240sx LE fastback. Fully loaded power windows leather interior, etc, its completely stock the only thing ever done to it was the motor was rebuilt with new stock parts like the head and new brakes. He said before he sells it hes gonna give it a new paint job, still white, repair the few dings on the side and fix the 3 cracks on the back of the hatch. Now the only thing wrong with it are a few small dings that I would have to fix myself and there is some ware from time on the inside like the steering wheel is starting to peel, other than that no rust or nothing. I would still like to take it to a mechanic just to make sure everything is running well. Like I said I can probably get it for two grand, do you think its a good deal?

$2K ain't bad.

DON'T let him paint it!!!! Unless it's an expensive paint job (more than $2K), it will reduce the value of the car. See if the paint can be wetsanded, buffed and polished instead. Besides, if it's got dings, you'll want those to go away BEFORE the painting.

Tell him skip the paint and offer him $1500.

$100,000. easy.

no, I'm kidding. you can do it yourself, I was watching trucks on spike the other day and the show was all about fixing old paint. just like, I guess $50 in supplies if you aready have a buffer.

just be careful.
