So anyways, they suck. The shop broke 5 off them taking them off my friends 350z workmeister (work) rims, to exchange for new lugs he bought. His car was in an accident and when the repair shop tried to take off the lugs all went well except one which broke. Total of 6 broke lugs, and he has never taken them off since he put them on 9 months ago.

Makes you wonder how well the rims are made huh and if their casting process is worth the money they charge?

if those breaks, what do you think normal lug nuts will happen?

I think it will be the same thing

uh no he installed and reinstalled a different set of lugs (albeit they were 300$ bucks) and those did not break at the same shop...

When installing rims, one should retorque the lug nuts after so many miles. Once the lug nuts get loose and you drive around like that, the rims can shear the lugs right off.

that tells me that they were crossed threaded on, which means when you go to take them off, they get tighter and tighter until they have no choice but breaking. so whoever put them on may want to pay a bit more attention. lugs should be started by hand first then tightened with air gun or socket.
