I'm borrowing this from our friends at Gearhead Shirts (who are awesome, by the way). They find deals on classics and post up the For Sale threads on their FB page. They have found some pretty obscure cars and I always check out their stuff. At first glance, this one looks like a screaming deal (which it would be if this is legit). 3 Roadsters, one of which is 'almost finished' and two parts cars, for $6,000. Those in the Datsun community know that you can't get ONE restored Roadster for that. Intrigued, I checked out the ad. The owner says that the Roadster is a 67 or a 68, he's not sure which. He also says that the restoration is almost complete. How the hell do you restore a 40+ year old car and not know what year it is???????

Don't you at least have the freaking title? It also looks like it has been neglected for some time. Needless to say, I advised everyone to stay away from it but what if you had no clue that this was something to be wary of? The take away message is this: Educate Yourself! Do your research before buying anything!! Don't always assume that the seller is right or is an expert on the car in question. I see so many good people get ripped off because they trust complete strangers. There are so many people out there right now trying to hustle anything they can for a buck. Just be careful. \rant
