Just buy another engine, especially if you're not looking for big power.

How much would it cost to have it bored and sleeved? (ballpark?)

The service he's looking for will cost over $1000 if done correctly. Pistons/rings are over $500, new oil pump, bearings, machine work, personal labor, blah, blah.

Oh it'll get expensive very quick! Believe me. If you do end up tearing it down, you're going to be tempted to go beyond whats necessary. Doing it right and doing it right the first time is something to think about. My machine work alone cost me $900 and thats not including any modifications to the block (no boring, just a hone). Ive seen forged pistons at around $500-700 depending on who and where you get them from.

Or you could just buy another engine, or source out a better block.

Notice I said sleeved, not re-sleeved.

I live in Bulgaria...tha machine work (reboring and honing) will cost me obout $100. Here I cannot find engine or block in good condition otherwise I would buy it. +1mm isn't hat much. That's the second grade. I saw in Mahle's web site that they have pistons +.50 and +1 but on the price of the forgies

Who says you can't sleeve an iron block? The V8 guys do it all the time. The spun iron sleeves that Darton makes would be a great way to improve block strength and allow you to overbore safely.

All type of blocks can be sleeved, even your gokart motor.
