Hey everyone, I'm new here to the forum and am ready to pull the trigger on a new Murano. I have access to the VPP program which is exciting for sure. My question is, are there going to be enough changes to warrant me waiting until October when the 2011's are released or should I go ahead and get a 2010 now? Thanks everyone!

If they're going to sell it to you under dealer invoice I'd wait until October rolls around as I think they are updating the 11 model year. However, if you are eager to get hooked up there's no reason to wait as the 10 model year is just fine.

Did you read about what is being changed for 2011 in this forum?

I did read them, and I'm just not sure if the changes listed are enough to warrant holding off. I'm going to wait until I can see some pictures of the changes before I decide. I'm particularly interested in seeing the front grill, wheels, and new package (SV I think). Any pictures of these changes out there yet?

I REALLY hope that's what the 2011's look like. I really like the new grill and wheels. It doesn't look those pics reflect the new gauge colors. Any chance they will use the same styling changes as this European model?

I would think that the changes seen on the Euro model of the Murano would generally represent what is coming our way. I too wonder if the interior picture at VWVortex is of a 2011 due to the orange colored gauges.

Overall, we're very happy with our 2010 LE...I'd wait IF: 1) Nissan had redesigned the moon-roof wind deflector (noticeably more noisy the the 2004 we traded) & 2) Changed the transmission from the "feels like a boat" CVT to a 6-speed.
Zero to 20, my Grand Cherokee, with 30 fewer horsepower, pulls the Murano by 4 lengths. Between 20 & 60, the performance pretty much evens out, but a pass initiated at 60 favors the GC by what seems like a substantial margin (the tach zooms to 6,500 if floored, but manually controlling the accelerator/holding the revs to 4,500 doesn't seem to produce a drop-off in passing performance (???).
Yeah, I know the preceeding is totally seat of the pants subjective; maybe I'll get off my keester and document with a stop watch someday.
However, we shopped the Caddy SRX, Toyota Venza & Ford Edge The local Cadillac dealer thought sticker was a deal The Toyota & Ford were slightly cheaper, but both my Wife & I voted the Murano a winner by a large margin.

Not big changes, so guess it depends on what deals they got on the 2010 model and whether you can wait or need something sooner than later. If these pics are what's in store, not too shabby. Didn't like the Murano when it first came out, but it grew on me, as did each Model change on the Maxima. Have a 2009 Murano SL/AWD, love it! As much as I liked the old Murano, I hated the dash, very similar to the dash in the 2004 Maxima I had. If the 2009 Murano had the same dash, I would've gotten the 2009/10 Maxima instead. Looking forward to checking out the lastest model changes in October.
