that's really pretty damn cheap for a folded steel Katana

me personally, I'd rather go over to Japan and have one fitted for me, cuz it'd be a big mother****er.

Well, those 20k Katanas are usually something like 100+ years old or famous (owned by an admiral or general or governor).

For modern, useful katanas (most would fall apart after the first stroke) Paul chen is a good start. Theres a few other companies that use a mixture of traditional and modern techniques to make cuttign blades, and those will genrally run you up to and beyond $1000 or so.

I have a laser sharpened sword, (its basically 1 big piece of steel) with a full tang, so I can actually hit stuff with it- Costed $60 from Garlinburg, TN, so why not?But folded steel swords can cut through lots of stuff.... very very sharp too.Oh and I believe sexy was mentioned. That too.

personal assasin wouldn't work for me. The first person I would have killed is this punk *** kid who thinks he is all that, and I would want his death to be very public and very bloody. you would IMMEDIATLY have to escape, drive north, and kill someone else for me. Once those two threats were neutralized you would have to stay out of jail long enough for me to take poloroid pictures of you killing my german professor's pets and threaten her to get a passing grade in the class so I can graduate. And then you would prolly go to jail eventually and so you couldn't do it for life. But thats pretty cheap for two hits and some intimidation work.

the folded steel and tempering the japanese use gives the blade flexibility but still has strength and incredible edge retention

the 20k swords are not old or owned by famous people.

just incredible craftsmanship. The makers pass on part of their being in every blade.

the 20k swords are the same ones that would cut through you like nothing else. 8000+ folds and ridiculously good craftsmanship and perfect, and I mean it, perfect balance, strength enough to slice through a cow, and the ability to deflect bullets. Yeah that's worth 20k.
