Hi,I am a newcomer and have owned a Q45 for years and love it. I have intended to buy an M at some point and right now am being offered a 2007 M35x demo with 3k miles for under $40k. I live in snowy midwest so all-wheel drive is crucial. Are there improvements for 2008 that would make me regret buying a 2007? And since I buy a car only every 8 years or so, I was considering going to the 2008 M45x, but I hear the mileage is not very good. Thanks so much for any thoughts!Paul FanlundMadison, Wis.

Here's the Infiniti press release about the changes to the 2008 model. If there aren't any features on the '08 that you can't live without, go with the '07.

Don't even consider good mileage as an issue w/these machines; poor mileage rules here. I get about 12 mpg in town averaging 19 mph, 24 mpg on the highway using cruise control.

In my opinion I really don't think there are many changes from my '06 to the '08 worth considering; most are cosmetic. Of course an M45x is a big change from the M35x. The biggest real change is that there are more options w/the entertainment system w/a hard drive and all; not worth the $10,000 more in my opinion vs your under $40k offering.

We just got a leftover 07 demo with 2k on her - the list was 49k, we got it for 38k.

The main option package was the technology package.

So far so good, we're getting 19 to 20 mpg in local driving - it's all in the right foot.
