Dear friends

I want to buy a shell cover for the steering column (item code: 48470-1MA0B or 48470-1MA2B) and it always brings up 2 types of it: one for the sport package and the other one for non-sport models.
I need a sport model cover that has special holes for the paddle shifts.
Can you please help me with the link where these two types are very clearly distinguished ?
Wherever I go they put both diagram images (both sport model and non sport ) and you have to just add to cart...

You may want to call your local dealer and confirm the information...I don't think in the years I've been here I've seen this information. Be sure to come back and share with the group so the next person can find it. Sometimes we have to be the guinea pigs :).

Thanks a lot guys.Just one question. The image of that part is not clear, it doesn't even look like a shell cover in the web page you shared.

You can also search the part number in Google or on this website if you don't believe.

Friends, I have done a bit research and found that for the sport version there are actually 2 models: The one you have mentioned above 48470-1MA2B and also this one 48470-1MA0B.
It is strange that both models fit the sport model. And the 1MA2B is 50$ more expensive than the 48470-1MA0B.
Any idea what's the difference if both of them are for the sport model ?
Thanks

This may help. Notice that part #48470-1MA2B is for SEDAN 2WDHICAS. And part #48470-1MA0B is for SEDAN (2WDSTD + 4WD) manufactured between 01/2010-04/2012.

If they both fit, then buy the cheaper one. No brainer there.

I was still assuming the 1MA0B is not for paddle shifters. I need to figure out if there is a cheaper one as I'm trying to add paddle shifters to my L.

Apparently the the only one that fits the sport package with paddle shifters is the 1MA2B version. Go for that one

call around to you local scrap yards and see if they have any wrecked M37s or Q70s you can pull all the required trim pieces off, and use any paddles from G37 or M37. my local shop was willing to sell me everything for less than $100.
