Just got back from driving school!

Pic was taken as I exited cotton corners. Its a bit blurry, cuz its a digi cam pic of the original pic. I need a real scanner!

What a blast! The school runs from morning till 4:30 and I got about 6 15-20 minute runs in during the day (about all my car and I could withstand). Instructors were avaliable to ride with you almost anytime, or you can go out on your own. Let me tell you, in that combined hour and half that I spent on the track, I learned more about car control than I would've in years driving on public roads. I am getting pretty confident now in my ability to bring my tail back in. Now to work on not getting it so loose in the first place!

I'd highly recommend anyone who enjoys learning car control and fast driving to attend a track school. I hope I can get a few NICO members here interested... The next session is in December and if we can get more than 5 people together there is a $20 per person group discount! The track is located in central California, near where highway 58 meets I-5. The track has a great lay out and there is a ton of run-off room so you are not afraid to try things!

PS: Zilvia.net is having a drift meet there in 2 weeks (they are only running half the track), but I've chewed up too much tire and brakes yesterday to afford to go drifting on purpose.

After

EDIT: The drift meet is actually organised by club4ag.com.
