who do we go to for upgrade bushings for the whole car? i mean bushings for the suspension, arms, subframes, sway bars, as well as engine and transmission. i read that some z32 undercarriage pieces are interchangeable. can anyone confirm what pieces? As stated in another thread, my subframe bushings need replacing. i might as well consider doing all and tightening everything up. getting ready for them 10" wides

Most of the bushings are the same except for the sway bars, otherwise the suspension is identical visually. The arms of course are different lengths, but aftermarket adjustable upper links and tension rods work well. Right now I have a box of NISMO Z32 bushings to redo the rear suspension which are harder rubber with a metal outer sleeve which requires a press to get back in. There was a recent post of someone who did a suspension overhaul with the Z32 Energy suspension bushings including tension rods, steering rack, and the rear control arm/knuckle bushings. It will require a hydraulic press so be warned it is not an easy task.

Here is a list of parts that can be bolted on easily:

SPL Front upper control arm
SPL Adjustable tension rods
SPL rear upper control arm

Here is a list of Bushings that can be replace with Z32 ES or nismo bushings

Tension Rods
Rear Upper control arms
Rear toe arms
Rear caster arms
Rear lower control arms
Subframe bushings
Differential Bushings(Nismo)
Steering Rack bushings

Motor mounts must be OEM or Beck Arnley parts as the Z32 will not fit correctly(Trans Mount).

Wow, nice post. Wish I had this same cross reference info for the fgy33!

I just replaced the passenger side steering rack bushing on my 94' with no problems. I used those same ES bushings and will being doing the other side soon. All I noticed was the lip on the oem was larger but the I.D was the same.

A word of caution pertaining to the tension rod bushings, my 94 seems to have the larger bushings which I believe are the "active suspenion" tension rods. I am not sure if they changed things in 1994 and up but I will have to find the smaller tension rods to use the ES poly bushings. Beings that you have a 90-93 I dont think it should be an issue.

The relatively inexpensive upgrades are the active rear sway bar, ES poly sway bar links, and subframe spacers if you dont want to go through the hassle of replacing the bushings. The part number for the rear sway bar end links is 9.8122 which is the 1" I believe. Sometimes these can be found at O-Reillys, autozone or the equivalent.

Thanks everyone for your input. If some of the z32 bushings need pressed in, how are guys getting it done? Because I do intend on upgrading to a bigger wheel like 18 or 19x10 out back and a mild drop, I want to tighten everything up. Also due to the extreme rust on the arms, I am looking to swap those out. Was there any change between the 90-93's and 94-96's?

You will need a hydraulic press to get the original bushings out along with an assortment sockets or metal cylinders of various sizes. The polyurethane energy suspension bushings dont need to be pressed in, but some of them may need to be frozen to shrink them to get them in. The nismo Z32 bushings use the original style metal outer sleeve which means the press will be needed to get them in. These bushing are getting harder to find; basically the entire Z32 suspension had nismo replacements including the front upper and lower control arms but were discontinued a while ago.

The only difference between 90-93 that I can think of are the front shocks being slightly different; methinks the bolt diameter was different but dont hold me to that.

This is the list that comes in the z32 Energy suspension master flex kit.

APPLICATION: 1990-1996 NISSAN 300ZX

MANUFACTURER PART NUMBER: 7.18105G

Front Control Arm Bushings -This one is my main question I would like to know if this fits on G50. And if the bushin fits are the front LOWER control arms the same as Z32 or?

Front Strut Rod Bushings -Doubtful

Front Sway Bar Bushings -No

Rear Sway Bar Bushings -No

Front End Link Bushings -Not sure what they would include in this? Tension rod etc

Rear End Link Bushings -I assume these should work same as z32/s13/s14/g50 correct? (Aka Toe, Traction, Camber) Correct?

Rack & Pinion Bushings -These should also work and from what OwnerCS has said most likely as long as a 94-96?

Rear Sub Frame Bushings -Should also?

Rear Differential Carrier Bushings -This as well?

Any help on this would be appreciated thank you. :bigthumb:

1.) Yes the lower front control arm is the same design so the bushings are the same.

2.) I your car is non-active then yes the tension/strut rod bushings will work. Make sure you dont have the active tension rods on your car; what happened to me was I had one active and one regular tension rod on my car. The easiest way to tell is the active tension rod has one edge that is flat on the big round portion that has the bushing in it; the ES bushings will not work with this.

3.) No

4.) No

5/6.) I think you can harvest the bushings out of these to use with the original links if you have a sway bar in the rear (only t and a models) or you added one.

7.) Rack bushings should work with all 90-96, but I have only experience with my 94'

8/9.) Yes these both work.
