burnt door panels on j30!!

hi guys i have a 93 j30t with 128k. both my door panels have burnt spots on the top by the window ive heard this is a prblem with j30. i guess its from the thin leather or vinyl they put by the window on the panel. i tried to replace the hole door panel i went to three junk yards, and all of the j30 had the same burnt panels. so my question is do any of you guys know how to fix it or where i can go to fix or replace and please dont say the dealer. thanx in advanced.

The dealer would probably give you another crappy OEM panel so dont go there. I would look for custom interior shops in your area. Have the reupholster it with REAL leather. Ive seen someone on cardomain have it done and it looks real good.

Shouldnt cost more than 50-100 per panel. That is not bad considering the amount of work that has to be done.

Here's an old post from when I had my rear door panels redone. You don't want to call the dealer. A replacement door panel will cost you more than a transmission - totally absurd. I'm not kidding.

ask the seller for the front ones to see if its still available...not bad price...considering new at the dealership...They suck.
