Hello guys,

Long story short, my clutch had been slipping for about 2 months now and I knew it would eventually burn out. Since then I have been taking it very easy on it to try to extend its life as much as possible. Anyway, my stupid brother, who does not know how to drive stick, decided today would be the day he would take my car for a little joy ride, and completely destroyed my clutch. I was wondering if anyone knew of a clutch that I could buy that is a little better than the stock clutch, but nothing too crazy. My car is completely stock, with future intentions of only putting minor upgrades on it. This is the first clutch I will ever buy and I do not want the mechanic to get it because I don't know what kind of garbage he gets and puts in my car. Any input would be great,

Thanks a lot,
Manny

How many miles did you get on your clutch?

You should probably at least get a quote from the dealer :)

This was the original clutch with about 60k on it.

A clutch should last triple that mileage

I just traded in my 06 G35 with 171796 miles with the original clutch. I do a lot of downshifting to brake the vehicle and get over 85k miles on a set of brakes

You must be constantly slipping the clutch to get such a short life out of a clutch.
