The first Burnout game I played was Revenge on Xbox 360. I was hooked on it ever since. The graphics and overall gameplay are awesome. Paradise looks even better. I also have Legends for PSP. What I like about the games is that they have great replay value...you can play them over and over. The cars and locations aren't realistic but the physics (which might be somewhat exaggerated) makes up for it. They also have a nice soundtrack to go along with it.

A great de-stresser also I might add.

Damn, can't friggin wait! I think I might have to start playing BOR again. This game sounds just like Test Drive Unlimited too....hopefully this will have the open-ended roaming with others online like TDU does.

Dude, TDU is the bomb, if it had 700 some odd cars like GT or even 300 like Forza, that game would rule.. but i still like it. I like how "live" is set up on it.. TDU to me had the best "Car Game" Server... lol i still havent traveled the whole island and have had it since March. but as for cars on it, hey it has 90 fun cars :D

Looking at the size of that map, this one should have free roam...I don't know if they officially confirmed it yet though. EA also did a smart move by bringing back crash mode...which they didn't include in Dominator.

Looks like there's gonna be downloadable content too...like cars and stuff. Sweet!

Oh yeah I'm definitely looking forward to TDU also. I saw a bunch of vids and screenshots. It looks real good!

Haha yeah I've been behind in gaming lately...trying to catch up with things.

As for Burnout, the cars (or locations) are not real...never were in the previous games. However some bear resemblance to real life ones. It never bothered me though.

Always liked the Burnout games.

I also never figured out why games like Burnout has such great looking cars but we have the likes of Chris Bangle's 5 series driving around in real life. The car designers for Burnout should be getting rich at a low-yield coachbuilder!

UPDATE!The Official Plystation Magazine has published a rather interesting preview of Burnout Paradise in their July Issue. The preview reveals LOADS of new information regarding features of Burnout Paradise for the PS3. Below is a rundown of what to expect in Paradise:

Paradise City is 70 kilometres square.

No more huge yellow markers directing you where to go, instead players will have to use the on-screen map (which shows the objective but not the route) to find their way.

Introduction of a handbrake.

The Playstation Eye or Eyetoy will be used to capture a picture of the opponent you just took down and also to capture your image as you take them down.

Car will be able to literally be torn into two.

Each street has its own name (Named after the developers).

Stats will show where the accident black spots are.

There will be shops and services placed around Paradise City:Petrol Stations to refill boost. Body Shop to repair damage. Paint Shop to change car colour. Junkyard to change vehicles (All cars you win will be here).

Win cars by racing them at traffic lights or trash them when you see them driving around the city.

Race up to 8 people online.

Start an online race simply by stopping at one of the 175 sets of traffic lights.

Crash mode is integrated in the same seamless way, just cause a crash anywhere you want and press R1 and L1 to enter the crash mode.

Traffic checking is back(!) The article says in a caption “Only heavy vehicles can Traffic Check as standard – light ones must be modified to do it”.

Each street will have stats called “Road Rules”. They will include all the records such as best time and most expensive crash.

These Road Rules will constantly be updating through the internet.

Road Rules records will be set only from those on your friends list.

“Freeburn” is the name of the free roam mode.

Online powerups will include ability to reverse your opponents steering or jam their boost.

Personal records will be stored on your Burnout Drivers License.
