Car: 2000 Nissan Micra celebration

Hi I am having a problem with the above car:

Its done 56000 miles

I struggle to acccelerate past 40. The initial diagnosis was brakes and I have had new front driver brake hose and new master brake cylinder but its stil no good. Any idea.

Perhaps the problem is a locked up caliper.

Don't drive your car until you fix the problem, you're putting a tremendous amount of strain on the transmission like that.
