I installed the fan and it works great, when its working. The green fuse that is connected to the battery keeps burning out on me. Its happened twice in one week. Does anyone have one of these units and have you had this problem?

As electric motors age they slow down and draw more and more and more current [amperes]................happens to HVAC fan motors, condenser auxillary fans, even window, seat, and sunroof motors.

The electric motor can be dissassembled cleaned and refinished with new bearings it can behave as new again........................or simply be replaced.

The current flow increases with ambient temperature as the copper wire resistance increases.

YOU, ME and many other locals here have the same problem..!!! I have replaced fuses 15 times in 7 yrs and changed out MELTED fuse holders 7 times. Im about to get rid of these flex's and go with SPAL. Their 12 inch fans push more CFM and seem to look less restrictive than these flex'sI hear that the flex's move lots of air but when their OFF, they restrict air flow at cruising speeds..The SPAL fans seem to have less material to them than the flex's so they should have less restrction and they flow MORE air...

I'd recommend checking your ground and other connections.

Me or him..?? Cause mine is done right and im NOT the only one with this problem. Many locals have this setup and they are all wired the same. The only difference is that everyone chooses a different ignition source to tap into for the main control box. I have wired it with and without the control box and its the same results.
