My dealership uses a synthetic blend of Mobile 1 oil for its changes and it works well, consumes about 1 quart in 4000 miles. I tried out full synthetic last time and I burned through 5 quarts in 1500 miles or so. Back on the synthetic blend and all is perfect again.
Solid Advice. Infiniti does not recommend full synthetic oil in these engines. The dealer is service with uses just regular conventional oil, and it burns through it like kindling. I honestly gave up on the engine a while ago, and just keep feeding it to keep it alive but not everyone has had these issues.

Then, they told me to come back after 1,000 so i went back after 1,200 miles after the oil change. Now, they want me to get copies of all the oil changes that i have had done since i have owned the car. So I have to get copies of all the oil changes from 56,000 up to 95,300. Will infiniti give me a new engine or a gently used engine and will it be under warranty passed the 100,000 mile warranty that i have?
As far as the engines are concerned, Middlebh, do you know if they are planning to replace your engine at their expense with a certified used engine?
