My wife has a 2003 murano that is burning alot of oil. Sometimes at start-up, I get blue smoke out of exuast. Any ideas?

Take it to your dealer to perform an oil leak test. Oil is obviously reaching your combustion chamber, so the simplest leak would be from the spark plug tubes, then you're looking at your piston rings and maybe crank ventilation is not working normally. If you're adding oil, make sure you dont overfill. That would cause trouble.

From what I understand, blue smoke when you start but not after indicates oil getting past the valve seals, but as he said, get it tested, only way to know for sure.
