ok so i just had my motor freshly rebuilt top to bottom at a shop and it is burning oil. white smoke constant out of exhaust. they did a compression test 125 across the board and i believe oil was on 2 of the spark plugs. anybody know what this is and why? Thanks

Im having the same problem right now with after my head build. I think it might be the valve stem seals on mine but the guy said they were nice and tight and he said the guides were in good condition. But im stuck between 3 things. 1 headgasket but compression is high 140 ir higher across the board. 2 turbo seals are bad , i checked for shaft play and there was none and the turbo had less then 1000 miles on it. 3 bad valves or valve seals. If you figure it out please post it.

What kind of turbo setup are you running? Cause you might need an oil restrictor if your running t3 or t3/t4. I had a similar issue and it would just pour smoke until I fixed it.

Some shops have difficulty resleeving. The result is leaking coolant.

125 across a fresh build that hasn't been broken in is good. My motor before it was even turned over and running on its own power made 120 on all 4.

I've also seen engines run so rich that they smoke white. What are your AFRs and what are you doing for engine management? If that isn't the issue, a leakdown test will tell you where the oil is coming from.

hijacker after your motor was broken in what were your compression numbers like.

i had emange ultimate but then i took it off and i had a jim wolf already so i got it reprogrammed for my new setup. the shop owner is talking with jim wolf to get a new chip burned to fine tune the air fuels better. at idle they are about 11.5-12.2

What are you afrs driving? Your idle is really rich and there is the possibility that you can wash the rings out with the much fuel. Does your oil smell like gas?
