S14 Motor that is burning oil, not much though. Is apparent when weight is shifter to front. I.E. Sitting on a decline or reversing. Confused as to where leak could be. Did a compression test. Here are teh results (psi):

1) 1742) 1723) 1734) 173

Any ideas? Maybe valve seal's? Seems that the head gasket is ok due to the compression test. The odd behavior is it spitting out blue when the weight is shifted forward.

Thanks.

Ok this may sound kinda silly but did you check the valve cover breather hose? What its called again? AIV? anyhow, throw a catch can up somehow and see if your getting oil in it. Its normal to be losing oil to it at high RPMs but thats just strange. Placement of the hose on the valve cover makes me think that it may be the problem....somehow.

Whats your oil pressure?

Good luck =)

Mikemurphy,

Thanks for the reply. I think you refering to the PCV line. I was thinking that was a possibility. I'll check into and see if I have a a pressure valve that will thread into the pressure switch. I'll get back to you guys. Just an odd problem. The car runs like a champ overall.
