Most of the time valve seals allow oil to leak into the CC on cold start, then once they warm up the materials expand and they reseal. If your loosing that much oil I would think other place myself. Unless a seal is long gone.

Pull the plugs, see if any of them look different then the others.

so i just rebuilt my KA and its burning ALOT of oil (roughly 1qrt a day) and was just wondering if thers a way to tell if its the rings or valve seals. it only really seems to smoke when i romp on it. and ive notices that its almost seem like its losing it so much some of its not even burning....if you hold your hand at the exaust and someone gives it gas you have what looks like oil splatter on your hand. dont really want to rebuild the hole engine again so am hopping theres a way to tell if its one or the other.

Check your compression. If it's low, then it most likely is your rings.

Yeah I think 170 is new and below 150 is fail. Seals is a stretch for it being that much oil. Any external loss?

alright and nope the block and head and everything is still vary clean and nothing on my driveway. and excuse me if this theory is compleatly insane but if it was the rings you would think it would burn all the oil thats leaking? and if the valves seals are leaking and the oil is seeping past valves and getting sucked right out the exhaust thus explaning the oil droplets splatter that it shoots out the tail pipe??

When i rebuilt my engine the first time i got a cheap o'reilys set and one was broken and passed my eye i put it all together and had the same problem you are now. One thing that i did to check my rings was look at the spark plug its self if it is your rings then one will be completely soaked with oil.
