Burned smell pls help.

I just got my car from the dealer and had to replace the catalytic converter. Driving back home I noticed a burned smell, not much but you can smell it especially when the car is stopped...is this normal when the converter is new? Would this hopefully goes away after a few hundred miles? Thanks in advance.

When I put on the high flow cat on my Maxima, it smelled funny when I drove it, and smelled like egg farts when I floored it. It stunk like that for about a week.
