I saw this on a J30 for sale on ebay, do you see the wood trim on the door panel? I think its a great way to cover torn leather, and make it more durable. Any idea where to get this?

That does look good !! Would like to find out where it is available and what is the composition. Also,RideInMyJ, noticed that you are from Tampa. Where do you have your "J" serviced? Anything from regular oil changes to more serious repair. Am looking for an independent shop, but no luck so far. Not comfortable with the local dealer.

I also saw that car on ebay and thought it looked really sharp... Isnt that the J30tt???

I would go onto http://www.exoticwooddash.com and see what their kits are, you should be able to tell what different pieces are....

Better yet, contact Jason at http://www.burtmanindustries.com and see what he can do for you!! Tell him your a NICO member and a good friend of Wes... :D

elwesso knows i dont like wood, but ill ask them where they got that kit from. my door panels are wearing also, and i think that door kit would not only make the interior look much better, but also might make me keep the rest of the wood trim.

if all goes well, ill be looking at that car tomarrow. [just for a tech inspection, im not buying it]

Looking forward to your report!

No way the J OEM transmission would handle the power from the TTs. Even the Z32 guys say the NA Z is tough on trannies when driven hard. However, that 300 hp would be stunning in the J. Might not get your 1/4 miles but imagine the rush from 40mph. The stock J is already good in that range but 50% more hp? Wow!

I like the wood trim as a solution to the arm rest irratant. I might be interested in getting only the front doors done. Mine is still holding together but it's only a matter of time.

yeah, ive been seriously considering making a real carbon fiber trim replacement, or something like sheet titanium to replace the wood trim that i dont care for.

the door trim would round it out though, and i would keep the wood if i could get the door panel trim.

$180 for the whole kit the entire thing from exotic wood dash...

You might call them up to see if you can get just the door panels or whatever you want...

Have you tried to contact jason yet???

I contacted the seller of that car, he said it was custom. Also, said most any specialty installation shop(car stereo, alarm, tint, etc...) would do something like that. I'll look into it further.
