That'd be a pube.

The last time I went to Burger King my Dad asked me to pick up a Whopper for him. I went through the drive-through, sat for about three minutes before someone said through the intercom that they were closed (it was about 7pm on a Wednesday). I pulled around and looked inside. There were a bunch of teens inside, about 4 teenage employees in uniform and all the lights were on.

I parked the car and walked in. They were open. I ordered a Whopper meal from some young punk named Cameron. After I paid I asked him why I was told they were closed.

He replied "Because I was trying talk to my friends."

I said "Are you f*cking kidding me?"

He says "No, but at least I'm being honest. Do you want something for free?"

I said no, took my Dad's burger and left.

Honestly man, your taking a s***ty minimage wage job for teenagers way too seriously.

That is some funny stuff right there, you should have laughed and gotten some free food out of it.

Not really. A store has posted hours that says their open, you expect to at least be served (albeit maybe a little while...)

Being denied service "because i was talking to my friends" is not an excuse - you're still at work no matter how you look at it. If a supervisor was there, the talking would have never happened, or the guy probably would have been repremanded or fired.

You are taking fast food WAY too seriously. Its a f***ing burger king. What do you want from the employees.

Kids working s***ty jobs mess around. Its part of life. Lets not be so old and grumpy that we cannot appreciate being young. Whats the worst that is gonna happen, your not going to get your Whopper? More important things man...

you have to seem genuinely interested and actually take down their phone number (it's more believable if you have them write it down. they've been played enough times to know when someone is just yanking their chain). try not to do it at the locations that you frequent all the time, otherwise you'll run into them again and probably end up with a bag of food you'd feel bad giving to a stray dog.

I want my food (not that I actually eat at any of these places...)

I treat all places the same really - If I'm going somewhere, I expect to get what I went for. Yea, I used to goof around when I was a cashier at a supermarket, but when someone came to my line, I helped them - it's my job to do so - that's what I got paid to do (however s***ty the pay was....) If no one is around, have a blast, but seriously, how hard is it to take the 3 min to get a dude a burger?

If you walked into The Capital Grille or some other fancy place and stood at the Matrie'd's station for 10 min, only to have them tell you that they were goofing off, how would you feel about that? I mean, it's not like the host/hostess is making 6 figures...

And you would have gotten it, with extra free stuff if you didn't get all pissy.

i agree. when i was trying to order some grub for myself and my niece at the zoo, the chick taking my order spent the entire time goofing around and cracking jokes with the other employees. i got pissed and started yelling my order. she shot me a dirty look so i went right ahead and told her that instead of screwing around, she's supposed to be getting me the food that i just ordered. sure enough, i had to repeat the whole thing over again.

Five guys FTW!It's kinda pricy for a burger joint, but considering you can watch them actually making the burger patties, and the "normal" burger has at least a 1/2lb of meat on it.....

Sometimes I think that people spamming for classifieds access don't realize that posting bumps the thread.
