1. I don't think my power steering pump is hicas so nothing has to be modified correct? One part connects to the power steering reservoir. The other connects down to the rack

2. Can the AC Compressor unit and belt simply be removed without any modifications to the block? like having to plug up holes?

3. Looking at the compressor wheel on the turbo, there is puddle of oil in there. Is this a bad thing? I tried soaking up the oil with a paper towel, but if I spin the wheel a few times, more oil comes out... what does this mean...

4. Last question for now :D , what do you guys think of this clutch does it need replacing or what...

Sorry if these questions are n00bish quesitions, this is basically the first time i've ever done anything of this caliber, so everything is a learning experience for me... Thanks for any input you guys can give me... for the rest of the pics...here

1) Correct. The line that just clamps onto the power steering pump comes from the reservoir.

2) Just unbolt the pump and bracket and toss to the side.

3) Chances are the turbo is wasted.

4) Run the clutch and see how it feels....it looks almost new.

You might want to just go ahead and replace the clutch. I should have replaced mine, although it looked alright. It looks like I will probably have to pull/drop the motor to change it now. It will be a lot easier to just do it now to be safe. Good luck with your swap.

That is true...Once the motor/trans is installed, it is a ***** to just drop the trans....You end up pulling the whole assy again just to change the clutch. If money is tight, run it. If you can afford the new clutch, go with that.

Check the turbo for shaft play (wiggle it with your finger). Was there a big puddle of oil in the intake pipe? It may just be a bunch of collected oil from the PCV going back into the intake. Granted that is a lot of oil (mine was just in the intake piping), so check for shaft play. Oil might have just collected in the bottom of the housing, but this may just be wishful thinking. I guess one of your oil seals could be blown out, but there is no pressure on the system. Just trying to help brain storm.

Ok cool thanx for the help guys, but now i'm really concerned about the turbo... I tried checking for shaft play and it feels solid... is there any way to check if the seals are blown or not? I have to contact venus about my dented oil pan and possibly for my intake manifold...

Mark slide squad on the forum, from turbonetics, is probably the best to have look at the pic and give you advise.
