Maybe this is just a part of getting older... Definitely are worse things... But would love to get that tight look back on the front and rear bumper. Front is sagging due to a run in with an orange barrel (i think) and the rear is sagging after a neighbor rolled into the back of me, parked.

Is there a DIY way to get the bumpers back into shape?

Remove the rear bumper or front, Which ever one you want to do first. Replace every clip and clean the area and replace the new screws also. While installing the bumper have someone lightly pull up on the bumper. That should get it back to the factory look :chuckle:

There are six clips visible when you open the rear door, make sure all are present. Ensure all fasteners are present as well. On either side of the bumper, there is a clip at the upper portion of the fender that should hold the bumper in place, too. If you'd like pictures let me know.

Thanks for the pics Civilian... I had a clip fall off the vehicle on each side tonight in the area of 6 on BT-17 tonight. All fasteners along the rear are intact. Wondering if maybe 4m area is bent causing sag.

Can't see well enough with everything on to figure out what needs added to reduce sagging effect....there is a metal piece that attaches to the mudguard on the rear wheel wells where another screw snapped off... It may help me to fix the part, but it won't get rid of the sag.

I know there is a solution to this.

I don't know how it broke off like that. If I recall correctly, the clip is secured by a screw. It's been a while since I replaced my bumper cover so the details are pretty fuzzy, and I have no more useful pictures. If you're comfortable with it, I'd suggest removing the bumper cover to figure out the cause of the sag. Be sure to take plenty of pictures so you can ensure the cover is reinstalled properly.

There were two screws underneath, at the very rear that connect the bumper to metal brackets which then attach to the inner metal part if the bumpber. I got up underneath and tried to bend the brackets back to shape by pushing up on the bumper where the brackets are with some success. It looks like when someone rolled into my bumper they caused the brackets to bend downward, causing the downward sag.
